The Kitchen  - This is the center of any "bay house". A place for hearty meals, family visits, card and game playing or just conversations with good friends, over a beverage or pot of tea, watching the seabirds dive in the cove.  If the seaon's on - expect to see local fishermen on the water in traditional dories.  

Much of the traditional charm of the house still remains in the Cox House kitchen.  The Enterprise Oil Stove and the Simplicity ringer washer were part of a state of the art high-tech kitchen "in the day".  Although these two are no longer functional, they do remind us of a time not so very long ago.
